A major shift in the weather pattern is underway, with warmer temperatures set to take over for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Despite a chilly start, a warming trend began today as winds shift southward, with high temperatures expected to reach the mid-60s and possibly reach near 70°. A freeze warning remains in effect for eastern portions of central Indiana, where temperatures are dropping close to or below freezing. Rain chances are expected to increase on Friday, but most locations should remain dry. The weather pattern will become more active next week as we move into a southwest flow, bringing warmer temperatures generally in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
