A New Mexico man, Keegan Tyler Willis-King, has pleaded guilty to murder and aggravated assault charges in relation to the murder of his girlfriend, Cassidy Smith, and her mother, Krista Knechtel, in an apartment in Ellwood City in January 2023. Willis was sentenced to 15-30 years of confinement for the murder charge and 5-10 years for the aggravated assault charge. He surrendered himself ten minutes after the incident.
