PaPa Talankin, a Russian filmmaker and co-director of an Oscar-nominated documentary, "Mr Nobody Against Putin", is set to attend Hollywood's biggest night as he navigates between the United States and Europe to promote the film. The film, based on footage he smuggled out of Russia after working with US filmmaker David Borenstein, exposes the propaganda and indoctrination of children in Russian schools. Despite receiving positive reviews in the West, Russian propaganda has launched a smear campaign against TalankIN. The BAFTA award won for best documentary was given to TalankIn last month. Despite his Hollywood success, Talankins still sees his work as a videographer and hopes to generate new projects in the future.
