Artemis II, a rocket carrying a crew of four astronauts, has successfully launched from Florida's Cape Canaveral, marking the first step in mankind's historic return to deep space and the moon. The mission will take place 10 days into the week and will take them 250,000 miles further from Earth than any human has ever gone. The crew will also see sights never-before-seen as they round the far side of the moon with the sun’s daylight shining up it. The successful mission would leave just two more launches before we again walk on the moon, with a potential test for new lunar landers in 2027 and a possible manned Mars mission in the coming years.
