NASA and SpaceX disagree about manual controls for lunar lander

A new report by the Office of Inspector General has revealed that NASA and SpaceX have disagreed over the management of the Human Landing System (HLS), which are essential for NASA's program to land humans on the Moon and establish a long-term settlement on the lunar surface. The report found that the fixed-price contracting approach has been beneficial for NASA as it seeks to utilise the US commercial space industry. However, it also noted that there is a disagreement between NASA and the companies developing the landers.
