Second of back-to-back storms poised to blanket northern Minn. with hefty snowfall; warnings issued

The second consecutive storm is set to hit northern Minnesota with significant amounts of snowfall. A winter storm warning is in effect for the northern third of the state, including Alexandria, Hinckley, Brainerd, Fergus Falls, Moorhead, International Falls, Roseau and Grand Marais. A third system could bring even more snow Sunday night into Monday before a midweek warmup. As of Friday morning, 78.5 inches of snow had fallen in Duluth, with 4 inches on the ground now at the Weather Service office.
