Performance anxiety: iPad Air M4 chip is binned, has only three performance cores

Apple's new iPad Air M4 chip, used in the new iPad Pro, has only three performance cores compared to the previous versions of the iPad Pro. This is due to core count changes, which removed one efficiency core from the M4. The change is not a downgrade, but a decrease in the amount of memory available to users. The current-gen M5 iPad Pro uses a nine-core CPU in the lower two capacity models, while the iPad Air uses a ten-core processor for the upper-two capacities.
