Nathalie Baye, an actress known for her roles in a film and a television show, has died at 77 after receiving a Lewy body dementia diagnosis. Baye was born in 1948 to Claude Baye and Denise Coustet, and attended the Simon Course for the Academy in 1972 with a focus on comedy, drama and foreign theater. She continued to gain fame through roles in French TV and movies, including The Mouth Agape, The Last Woman and The Green Room. Later in her career, she made an international breakthrough with starring in Steven Spielberg's 2002 film "Catch Me If You Can," and in Downton Abbey: The New Era in 2022. After news of Baye's death was made public, French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to her.
