Pete Moutafis, owner of Pete's Taverna in Riverhead, New York, has unveiled his vision for a Greek restaurant that reflects his deep roots and heritage. The restaurant, which features a menu rich in taste and authentic ingredients from Greece, is also a spot for live music and events, and a place for special gatherings. The owner plans to bring a five-piece Greek band from Athens to the restaurant in May, featuring a clarinet and accordion, bouzouki music and a belly dancer. Other events include a Greece-inspired paint-and-sip night and a special Mother's Day event featuring free champagne all day for moms. The eatery has also debuted a new $20 Greek Sampler Platter featuring award-winning Greek-style chicken wings and Greek style buffalo wings.
