A significant shift in weather is set to occur in Maryland, with temperatures expected to drop up to 50 degrees and potentially a snow flurry possible. This comes after a period of summer-like temperatures in the Baltimore region, reaching levels more typical of summer than early spring. While high temperatures are expected to remain in the 80s through Saturday, a wedge of cool air is expected to move into the Baltimore area on Sunday. This will be followed by a secondary surge of colder air from the northwest, which could bring frost or freeze concerns if winds calm, potentially causing damage to crops and early blooms. The National Weather Service has issued a detailed NWS forecast for the Maryland region, with mostly sunny weather conditions expected on Thursday afternoon and Friday night.
