Chipotle CEO tells customers to ‘just ask’ if they want bigger portions after downsizing accusations

Chipotle's CEO, Scott Boatwright, has stated that customers should not feel shortchanged when adding salsas, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, fajita veggies, and both types of rice and beans to their orders should they feel their orders are being skimped on toppings. This follows accusations that the fast-casual chain had instructed its workers to downsize portions. Boatwright's comments came after more than a year of accusations of the company's downsizing practices. He emphasized that there are no hoops to navigate to correct topping portions and that customers have always been allowed to request more or less of something when ordering.
