Israel sent an Iron Dome air defense system and troops to the United Arab Emirates during the Iran war. This deployment was part of a larger military, security, and intelligence cooperation between Israel and the UAE, which has been targeted by Iran more than any other country in the region. The UAE's stockpile of interceptors was depleted, leading to the Israeli Defense Forces to send an iron Dome battery with several dozen interceptors. This was the first time the country had sent anIron Dome battery to another country, and was the only country outside of the U.S. and Israel in which the system was used. The deployment of Israeli troops to UAE soil could potentially cause backlash in Israel.
