Liam Rosenior sacked: Chelsea owners have built monument to decline

Chelsea's decision to sack manager Liam Rosenior is another example of the dysfunction and chaos created by its owners, BlueCo, who have built a multi-club model at Stamford Bridge. Rosenior was brought in to succeed Enzo Maresca, who was sacked after 106 days in charge. The flawed strategy led to Rosenior being out of his depth at the club. This has led to a revolving door of managers, a toxic relationship between the owners and Chelsea's fanbase, and the biggest pre-tax losses in Premier League history. The group took control of Chelsea in a £4.25bn deal in 2000 and had not been outside the top five in seven years.
