Frontier Airlines plane fatally strikes person at Denver International Airport

A person walking across a runway at Denver International Airport was fatally hit by a Frontier Airlines plane bound for Los Angeles. The Airbus A321 was accelerating for takeoff when the person was partially sucked into one of the plane's jet engines. The incident occurred before 11:20 p.m. local time. The passengers were evacuated and all of them were treated for minor injuries. The pedestrian was identified as a "trespasser" who had jumped over the airport fence before being hit. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are also investigating the incident.
