An officer from Independence, Ohio, stopped a driver who tried to impersonate himself as a police officer during a traffic stop after witnessing him drive the wrong way past a do-not-enter sign and entering a hotel parking lot. The driver produced a Bedford Heights auxiliary police officer badge, but the officer confirmed there was no record of him ever being a policeman in Ohio. The man was cited for impersonating a cop and the officer confiscated his badge. Other incidents included a two-car crash involving a Honda Civic driver who rear-ended a Kia Forte and a man who registered more than twice the legal limit for intoxication on a breath test. The police were also alerted to a warrant for a parole violation and a disorderly conduct charge from a passenger who also had a warrant out for disorderly conduct.
