The Washington City Council is considering a $700,000 bathroom project outside the Jamie Hurd Amphitheater, which is used for events such as theater performances, symphony concerts, rock cover bands, and film screenings. However, a council member, Kevin Trevillyan, has argued that the cost of the project is too high, comparing it to the Taj Mahal. The project will also upgrade the electrical system in the area to bring more food trucks. The Parks and Recreation department is seeking donations of $250,000-$350,000 for the project.
