Mark Cuban has criticised the cost of Medicare Advantage, arguing that it exceeds what it costs to cover traditional Medicare and leaves out added costs incurred by people enrolled in traditional Medicare plans through higher premiums. He also urged support for the Break Up Big Medicine bill backed by Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass), and tied the issue to how voters judge candidates in November. Cuban has also highlighted price opacity as a key reason consumers and employers struggle to understand what they are paying for and has suggested publishing prices can be a competitive weapon in the pharmaceutical industry.
