Member of burglary ring targeting Asian business owners in Oregon pleads guilty

Colombian national Jhon Alexander Quintero, known as Edwin Andres Cadena-Pineda, one of seven members of an alleged burglary ring targeting Asian American business owners across Oregon. The ring allegedly ransacked homes in cities such as Gresham and Salem starting in early October 2025. The group stayed in short-term rentals as they identified potential victims and conducted reconnaissance on their homes. They allegedly used signal jamming technology, perimeter countersurveillance, and seven-way group calls to enter their victims' homes. The maximum sentence for conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen goods is five years in prison, $250,000 and three years of supervised release.
