Philly racks up 7 James Beard finalist nods

Royal Sushi & Izakaya's Jesse Ito is a finalist for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic, marking his sixth consecutive time as a James Beard finalist. The recognition reflects the city's strong regional nominees. Other notable nominees include Amanda Shulman, Honeysuckle's Omar Tate, Her Place Supper Club, and The Lovers Bar at Friday Saturday Sunday. The winners will be announced at the James Beard Awards ceremony on June 15.
