The majority of political candidates will file during the state's non-judicial filing period, which runs from March 2 to March 13. As of Monday morning, over 230 total candidates had filed, with a potential increase of several hundred by the end of the period. Other notable candidates include Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, and Lyon County Sheriff Brad Pope.
