Hong Kong International Film Festival To Open With Anthony Chen’s ‘We Are All Strangers’, Close With Philip Yung’s ‘Cyclone’

The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) is set to open with Anthony Chen's "We Are All Strangers", which recently premiered in the main competition section of Berlin film festival. Philip Yung's "Cyclone" will close the festival with a selection of 215 films from 71 countries and regions. Other filmmakers expected to attend include Jia Zhangke, Juliette Binoche, Tian Zhuangzhuang, Huang Jianxin, and Ann Hui. The festival will also celebrate its 50th anniversary with three performances by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
