BYU and Utah finished two of the top three individual finishers at the Big 12 men's golf championship in Hutchinson, Kansas. BYU freshman Kihei Akina placed second with a total of 8-under par, while Utah's Sergio Jimenez finished third with a 7-under total. Despite these efforts, both teams placed in the top half of the Big12 team standings. Oklahoma State won its 13th team championship in program history by shooting a collective 10-under. Additionally, junior Preston Stout won his third consecutive individual title. Despite coming short to Stout, Akina's performance was the best conference tournament showing of any Cougar since Zac Jones' victory in 2023.
