Celtics' Joe Mazzulla named finalist for NBA coach of the year

Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla is one of three finalists for the NBA Coach of the Year award. Other finalists include Detroit's JB Bickerstaff and San Antonio's Mitch Johnson. All three coaches their teams to top-two seeds in their respective conferences. The Celtics, who played the bulk of this season without Jayson Tatum, are currently the No. 2 seed in the East. The Spurs, who compiled the league's second-best record with 62 wins this season, are also considered a contender in the Western Conference. The NBA will announce the winners for Defensive Player of the Years, Most Improved Player, Clutch Player, and Most Valuable Player.
