Coventry City: Chairman Doug King says Frank Lampard links to Chelsea out of my control

Coventry City chairman, Doug King, has stated that the club's head coach, Frank Lampard, is not directly in the control of him and should not worry about his future at Chelsea. Lampard led Coventry to a top-flight return in August for the first time in over 25 years after securing the Championship title with a 5-1 win over Portsmouth. However, he has been linked with a third stint in charge at Stamford Bridge following the sacking of Liam Rosenior. King praised Lampard's performance and said that Coventry have been planning for the Premier League for a while but would be a mistake to invest in new players.
