The iconic Downtown Montreal pub, known for its drink specials and lively comedy and sports nights, is set to reopen after it abruptly closed in June. The Peel Pub, founded in 1962, was also a popular spot for pre-gaming before hockey games at the Bell Centre. New investors, U.K. expats who previously ran other pubs in the city, are investing in reviving the venue with plans to include a completely revamped beer room, state-of-the-art draft systems, comedy nights, and classic pub fare.
