No-parking restrictions on SW Broadway from Yamhill Street to Oak Street are set to begin on March 11 and are expected to remain in place until mid-May. The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is working to install a new type of buffer for the bike lane, expanding the gap between car traffic and the bike by installing concrete planters. The improvements are intended to reduce ongoing maintenance and improve aesthetics on the corridor. The bike lane will remain open during construction, though some cyclists may choose to share travel lanes during the work. After the initial phase of SW Broadway ends in mid-may, PBOT will move north of Burnside to extend improvements to NW Broadway between NW Glisan and W.
