A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his estranged girlfriend, Cassandra Gross, who disappeared in 2002. The conviction was reached in February after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder and reckless burning. Additionally, Gross was declared legally dead nine months after her disappearance.
