Michigan's top player, Yaxel Lendeborg, suffered a concerning ankle injury during their Final Four game against Arizona. The 6-foot-9 senior was rushed to the locker room after rolling his ankle while fouled on a layup attempt and walking off the court. Despite initially feeling unwell, no injuries were found to be serious enough to keep him from the court, although he returned to the court for the second half with an MCL injury and a twisted ankle. Ledeeborg had a successful season, earning Big 10 Player of the Year and averaging 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks through 38 games.
