Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell have been friends for 30 years. Shannon recalls meeting with Ferrell in the mid-1990s while working at a coffee shop in Los Angeles. The two were introduced through the Groundlings comedy troupe and later joined "Saturday Night Live" in 1995. However, during a conversation about their roles, Ferrell expressed a belief that actors are eventually being replaced by robots and that they would no longer need human actors.
