Mercedes is reportedly in the process of acquiring a 24 percent stake in the BWT Alpine F1 Team, confirmed by Alpine executive advisor Flavio Briatore. The shares are currently held by US-based investment firm Otro Capital and have sparked a bidding war among top motorsport heavyweights. Briatores clarified that these discussions are strictly with Mercedes, not their personal representatives. Despite potential conflicts of interest, Renault Group will continue to hold its 76 percent majority ownership of the team.
