Autheo, a major crypto project, has launched a mainnet with quantum security at the core of it all, positioning it ahead of competitors and appealing to institutions worried about the threat of quantum computing. The move comes as several major blockchains like Ether or Solana have introduced roadmaps to becoming quantum secure, while others like Ethereum have not yet introduced network upgrades yet. The project follows protocols and standards established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the U.S. authority on setting post-quantum security standards. Chief Product Officer Edward Johnson stated that the mainnet is the start where people get involved in the project, rather than releasing a token. The launch of this mainnet indicates less downside risk for retail investors than chains who still need to add these features.
