Hannah Fleming, a 28-year-old Ohio woman who received a liver transplant as a baby, is now a registered nurse and working on a Transplant Team. She was diagnosed with biliary atresia, which causes the bile to build up in the liver and often requires a liver transplants. Fleming's parents and family raised thousands of dollars for her transplant through fundraising activities such as car washes, spaghetti dinners, a silent auction and movie nights. Fleming recovered quickly and is now focusing on the importance of organ donation and how it can save lives. She also plans to run the New York City Marathon on behalf of the American Liver Foundation.
