Tennessee House passes trio of immigration bills amid protests at state capitol

The Tennessee House passed three immigration bills, one of which would make it a crime to be in Tennessee as an undocumented immigrant. The second bill, HB 0793, would require K-12 students to provide documentation showing their citizenship or immigration status when enrolling in public school. All three passed on party lines. The bills are now moving to the Senate, which previously passed with different language.
