Alison Brie, a 2x Golden Globe nominee, has been cast as supervillain Evil-Lyn in the Travis Knight-directed live-action feature adaptation of Masters of the Universe, which premieres on June 5 in theaters. Brie expressed excitement to play a supervillian in the Amazon MGM Studios movie, describing the character as "like a classic femme fatale character with a sense of humor" and a departure from her previous roles as Trudy Campbell on Mad Men and Annie Edison on Community. The character was originally voiced by Linda Gary in the 1983-'85 cartoon, with Meg Foster originating the role in 1987. The film follows the story of Prince Adam, who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword.
