The 2026 Formula One and IndyCar racing schedules differ significantly from each other, with the IndyCar series having 18 races, evenly divided between road courses, street courses and ovals. The F1 schedule includes 24 races on road or street courses, three in the United States, and 22 full-time drivers. The 2026 IndyCar season begins in St. Petersburg, Florida, and ends in September in Monterey, California. F1 cars are shorter in 2026, narrower (about 75 inches, down 4), lighter (roughly 1,700 pounds), and more lightweight (about 80 horsepower), while IndyCar uses a 2.2-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with a hybrid that offers combined over 800 horsepower. The Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for May 24, 2026. The driver salaries for F1 drivers are mostly confidential, but these IndyCar drivers are reportedly paid the most in 2025.
