The UK's Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, has warned of a "sustained campaign of violence and intimidation" against British Jews following an attempted arson at a London synagogue. This incident follows a series of fires at Jewish-linked premises and an Iranian opposition outlet. The Metropolitan Police has sent extra uniformed and plainclothes officers to investigate these incidents. Online posts claiming responsibility for the incidents have been posted by Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, a group with suspected links to Iran's government. The UK has accused Iran of using criminal proxies to attack European soil, particularly targeting opposition media outlets and the Jewish community.
