At the Visions du Réel Industry Awards, filmmakers Daniel Mann and Samuel Suffren were among the top winners. "Uganda," "Job 1:21," and "Trade" by Todd Chandler were awarded two prizes, including the Eurimages Co-production Development Award with €20,000 ($21,500). The jury was particularly drawn to these films' ability to engage with historical material in a way both inventive and critically aware. The awards also included over CHF 80,000 in cash and in-kind prizes across 13 projects. The industry faces a more cautious market, with buyers taking more time and projects being harder to finance. Despite this, the industry remains optimistic about the future of the film industry.
