Owner of 3 N.J. supermarkets says stores are not closing despite reports of empty shelves

The owner of three Foodtown supermarkets in Monmouth County, New Jersey, Lou Scaduto Jr., has stated that his stores will remain open despite reports of empty shelves. The company, which operates in Red Bank, Atlantic Highlands, and Wall, is in a dispute with their primary grocery store supplier and are working through it. Scadututhen apologised for the "unacceptable conditions" customers are seeing at the stores, but maintained that it is not their intention to close any of the stores.
