E Eli Tomac and Justin Cooper were involved in a heat race when Cooper's leg was trapped by Tomac's rear wheel and he was dragged several yards. This incident occurred during the second heat of the SuperMotocross World Championship. Despite Cooper finishing seventh in the heat race, Tomac ended up one lap off the pace and headed to the Last Chance Qualifier for the first time in seven years.
