Midtown’s ‘42 Below’ retail occupancy rising faster than the rest of Manhattan

The New York Real Estate Journal has reported that the district known as "42 Below" has seen a 65% increase in retail occupancy over the previous year. The findings were made by Live XYZ, a mapping and analytics firm that tracks more than 160,000 storefronts across the city. The strongest growth was in restaurants, with a 19% decrease in storefront vacancy over the past two years. The area also saw significant growth in fitness and personal care.
