Profits Slashed At STV After “Challenging Year”

STV, the maker of Criminal Record and Blue Lights, saw profits plummet by 70% for the full year ending December 31 and made significant layoffs across the board. The company posted a loss of £4M ($5.3M) and adjusted operating profit of £11.6M, adjusted operating margin nearly halved to 6.6%, and overall revenue was down 6% to £176.9M. Despite a challenging year, STV remains committed to delivering a savings programme totalling £8M by the end of this year and is working towards doubling its profits by 2026 to £140M. The firm also revealed a forward production order book of £33M as of December 2025, £7M down on August 2025.
