The 16-year-old Zaden Bratsos was killed in a shooting in Pageland, North Carolina, on March 28. The community mourns the loss of the teenager, many of whom attended a candlelight vigil and balloon release at Moore's Park. The suspect, Jeremiah Lockhart, has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The mother of Zaden, Jessica Howard, described her son as an honor roll student, amazing barber, and a hard worker at Polly's Coffee and Ice Cream Shoppe and the Ball Theater.
