The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a warning about older routers' vulnerabilities in relation to AVrecon malware. The hackers will install malware and then sell access to the compromised devices through the SocksEscort residential proxy service. Older routers have been identified as more vulnerable due to lack of regular security updates.
