Lebanese artist files war crimes complaint against Israel over death of parents in Beirut

Leban-French artist and filmmaker Ali Cherri has filed a war crime complaint against Israel over the death of his parents in 2024. The complaint was lodged with the French War Crimes Unit and supported by the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), which claimed that Cherri's parents' death was part of a larger pattern of civilian deaths caused by Israel in Lebanon. This complaint comes just days after an Israeli strike killed Lebanese cameraman and director Mohamad Shehab, along with his daughter.
