The Broward School Board is considering new rules regarding the use of the district's logo and $150 in district money in an advertisement for a political fundraiser. Florida Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas has expressed anger over the incident and posted documents related to the matter on social media site X. Board Chairwoman Sarah Leonardi said her executive secretary mistakenly used her district procurement card to pay for a $150 ticket to the gala. She immediately reimbursed the district and plans to consider five additional steps, including an outside investigation, training, and reviewing procurement card policies.
