San Diego Congressmembers react to WHCD shooting incident

A 31-year-old Torrance man, Cole Tomas Allen, has been arrested after allegedly attempting to storm the White House Correspondents' Dinner with guns and knives. He is accused of shooting a U.S. Secret Service officer at the Washington Hilton, where President Donald Trump was scheduled to address the event. Neither the president or vice president were injured during the incident. Allen is scheduled to be arraigned on preliminary charges for using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon. He reportedly sent a manifesto to family members prior to the incident, threatening to kill members of the administration. Some members of San Diego congressional delegation have publicly supported the president.
