The NHL has several playoff races, including the Pacific Division title and the wild-card spots in each conference. The Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks race heated up after Connor McDavid and Co. won the head-to-head clash with the Ducks. In the Eastern Conference, the New York Islanders moved up to second place in the Metropolitan Division, while the Columbus Blue Jackets dropped to the second place spot. The Philadelphia Flyers beat Detroit on Saturday to move three points off the final wild-cor spot. Meanwhile, the Washington Capitals are holding on, with a four-point gap between them and Columbus. The Tampa Bay Lightning is also in line to claim the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Division. Six teams are now within four points of each other after the Nashville Predators' loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
