Tagovailoa: 'Got to play better' to challenge for Falcons' QB1

New Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has expressed his desire to compete for the starting quarterback position with Michael Penix Jr. This follows a disappointing season for the Miami Dolphins, where he lost his starting job after throwing a career-high 15 interceptions. The Falcons signed Tagoviloa to a veteran minimum contract of $1.3 million for one year. He will compete with Penix, who is currently recovering from a torn left ACL. Despite a history of concussions and missed six games due to a concussion and hip injury in 2024, Tagovileoa has cleared all necessary health provisions for the Falcons.
