The iconic Daffodil Hill flower at Lake View Cemetery in Northeast Ohio has fallen short of its full potential this spring due to the soil being overdue for replenishment. The memorial park's president and CEO, Kathy Goss, is investigating what may have contributed to the lack of flower blooming this year. She attributes this to the poor performance of the bulbs, which are usually left unheated by insects or animals, and the lacklustre display. The recovery plan involves fertilizing the hill over the summer, then replanting in the fall. Goss hopes to plant around 50,000 bulbs this fall. The restoration effort is being funded by donations from visitors, which can be made at a cost of $1.
