MDSO releases bodycam video of deputy injured after pushing partner out of oncoming car’s path on Turnpike

A Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputy, Leo Cantave, was hit by a car while pushing his partner out of its path on the Florida Turnpike after responding to a crash on Dec. 27. The incident occurred when Cantave was hit and rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The driver, 28-year-old Lonnel Brinson, is facing charges related to driving under the influence and reckless driving.
